Job Description
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and develop small components and assemblies using CAD software.
Support engineering efforts for sensor, electronic, electromechanical, or optical systems.
Create and modify 3D models, drawings, and documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and production needs.
Apply engineering fundamentals to meet design requirements and timelines.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Minimum 2 years of mechanical design experience.
Proficiency in Siemens NX.
High experience with at least one CAD platform: SolidWorks, CATIA, or Creo.
Understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing considerations.
*** Must be eligible for OR already have a DOD Secret clearance ***
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Exposure to design for production or production line support.
Basic knowledge of shock, vibration, or stress analysis.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
