Fabrication Supervisor

Job Description
As the Fabrication Supervisor, you will coordinate all production activities and ensure day-to-day operations are completed safely and efficiently. This will ensure that quality products are produced and delivered accordingly and cost-efficiently.

Essential Functions:
Oversee and lead employees in safe equipment operations and instill a culture of zero accidents each day.
Document and investigate incidents to continuously improve our safety performance.
Focus on issues and errors and take the lead in eliminating root causes.
Conduct team meetings focusing on safety, production planning and company policies and procedures.
Provide daily assignments with expectations and follow up on assignments. Providing feedback/coaching to meet safety, quality, and production requirements.
Use judgment to plan, perform, and make decisions regarding the sequence of set-ups, operations, and processes within the limitations of recognized or standard methods and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of all aspects of the associated technical disciplines.
Knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Applications.
Knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane, solid geometry, and trigonometry.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and structural fabrication drawings.
Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire team members.
Ability to withstand pressure and adapt to change.
Ability to multi-task while meeting strict deadlines.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Four or more years of steel fabrication experience or experience within a related industry.
Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
Frequently moves materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.

Core business hours are Monday - Thursday 7:45am to 5:15pm & Friday 8:00am to 3:00pm
Compensation: from $70,000 DOE
