We are looking for a dependable Test Center Administrator to support daily testing operations in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This Long-term Contract opportunity is part-time, with hours that vary based on site needs and require availability for Saturday shifts along with occasional evening or Sunday coverage. The person in this role will help create a secure, organized, and welcoming environment for test takers while delivering attentive administrative and customer-facing support.
Responsibilities:
• Welcome candidates professionally, confirm their identity, and guide them through check-in procedures for scheduled exams.
• Carry out security screening steps, including the appropriate use of screening tools, to protect the integrity of the testing environment.
• Observe examinees throughout their sessions and respond quickly to concerns, disruptions, or irregular situations.
• Preserve the confidentiality and security of testing materials, equipment, and controlled areas at all times.
• Provide a fair, calm, and supportive experience for each candidate while enforcing established testing rules consistently.
• Document incidents accurately and escalate matters that fall outside standard procedures to the appropriate team.
• Assist with administrative support tasks such as scanning, record handling, basic clerical work, and candidate correspondence.
• Support the test center's operational setup by handling small equipment, packing or unpacking materials, and maintaining workstations safely.
• Adapt to a flexible weekly schedule that may include Monday through Saturday hours, with occasional evening or Sunday shifts as needed.• High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional college coursework is preferred.
• At least one year of face-to-face customer service experience in settings such as retail, hospitality, food service, or similar environments is required.
• Must meet the minimum age requirement for the position.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with candidates and coworkers.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Windows-based systems and common office applications, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and web browsers.
• Able to manage multiple tasks in a structured environment while maintaining attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• Capable of standing or remaining stationary for extended periods, moving through the testing room regularly, and lifting up to 40 pounds when needed.
• Must be able to work a part-time schedule of approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility to take on additional hours based on business needs.
