Location: Athens, Texas
Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:00), 10-week contract. Patient ratio 1:2 in a 10-bed intensive care unit with average daily census of 8 patients. Weekend coverage required.
Highlights:- Work in a 10-bed intensive care unit caring for adult and geriatric patients
- Maintain a manageable 1:2 patient ratio with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Utilize Epic charting system in a modern ICU environment
- Receive 24-36 hours of orientation to ensure successful onboarding
- Access full support services including phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and interpretation services
- Active Texas RN license or compact state license (must be in hand prior to submission)
- Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required; TNCC preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Previous experience with 2:1 or 3:1 patient ratios
- Geographic restriction: candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris counties are not eligible
- Must complete onboarding requirements within 48 hours of contract signing
