Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Schedule: 5x8 Hours - Variable shifts within clinic hours

Job Description:
Radiation Therapist responsible for administering radiation therapy treatments in accordance with physician instructions and patient treatment plans. Duties include operating and adjusting radiation therapy equipment, entering treatment data into computer systems, assisting physicians and clinical physicists with treatment planning, constructing patient immobilization devices, and maintaining patient treatment and billing records. Performs routine and advanced radiation therapy procedures including total body irradiation, stereotactic radiosurgery, and brachytherapy treatments. Prepares treatment rooms and equipment, follows radiation safety procedures, performs quality assurance activities per state and federal guidelines, and provides clinical instruction for radiation therapy students. Position is temp-to-perm. Elekta experience preferred.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Administer radiation therapy treatments according to prescribed treatment plans
\t
• Operate and adjust radiation therapy equipment and dosage controls
\t
• Assist physicians and physicists with treatment planning activities
\t
• Construct patient immobilization devices
\t
• Maintain patient treatment, billing, and dosage records
\t
• Perform advanced radiation therapy procedures including brachytherapy and stereotactic radiosurgery
\t
• Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for procedures
\t
• Follow radiation safety and protective equipment protocols
\t
• Perform quality assurance procedures according to guidelines
\t
• Provide clinical instruction and evaluation for student radiation therapists

Requirements:

\t
• Graduation from a Radiation Therapy Technologist program approved by CAHEA
\t
• ARRT Radiation Therapy certification required
\t
• No prior experience required
\t
• Elekta experience preferred
\t
• Ability to work variable shifts within clinic operating hours
