American Consultants is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Tyler, Texas.

Location: Tyler, Texas
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM). Patient ratios include Labor 1:2, Antepartum 1:3, and Mother/Baby 1:3. Weekend coverage required (6 weekends per contract; for day shifts Saturday and Sunday, for night shifts Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
Highlights:- 91-day travel assignment in a dynamic Labor and Delivery unit with LDRP capabilities
- Daily census of 14 patients across 14 rooms with 15 beds
- Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Orientation provided with 24-36 hours of onsite training
- Opportunity to work with diverse patient populations including neonates and adults
- Experience with high-risk deliveries, couplet care, and full-spectrum obstetrical nursing
- Active Texas or Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of application)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Travel nursing experience required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN (Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced)
- Epic charting system experience required
- Charge experience preferred; Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Proficiency in comprehensive L&D skills including fetal monitoring, C-section assistance, antepartum/postpartum care, and newborn assessment
