American Consultants is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Start Date: July 6, 2026
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (18:30 - 07:00). Option for 36 or 48 hours per week. Patient ratio 1:4-5. Rotating weekend coverage as needed. Floating to like units as needed based on facility requirements.
Highlights:- Progressive Care Unit at a specialized cardiac facility with 55 beds and average daily census of 38 patients
- Cardiovascular-focused patient population including CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, and other cardiac conditions
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and radiology
- 24-36 hour orientation with Epic charting system training and onsite module completion
- 91-day travel assignment in a dynamic cardiac care environment
- Opportunity to work with specialized cardiac procedures including post-catheterization and post-cardiac surgery patients
- Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact state license required prior to start; pending license accepted at time of application)
- Minimum 2 years of progressive care or stepdown experience preferred (1+ years may be considered)
- Cardiovascular experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required; CPI preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia management, cardiac drips, and post-procedural cardiac care
- Proficiency in central line management, blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and IV protocols
- First-time travelers accepted; must reside outside 50-mile local radius
