Physician Assistant

An established and reputable gastroenterology practice in Greenville, North Carolina is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join it's team. The practice is mid-sized, consisting of a few gastroenterologists and advanced practice providers, offering a strong team-oriented environment with excellent clinical support. This is a 100% outpatient role based in the GI clinic with a Monday through Friday schedule and no hospital call responsibilities. The team is fully open to training an experienced practitioner or a new graduate, provided they have a significant interest in gastroenterology.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a variety of gastrointestinal conditions in an outpatient setting
• Conduct patient consultations, follow-ups, and ongoing care management
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
• Provide patient education on digestive health, treatment options, and preventive care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system
• Coordinate care with physicians, APPs, and support staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently within a team-based environment
• Prior experience in gastroenterology or a related specialty (e.g., internal medicine, primary care) is preferred
• Open to training motivated candidates with relevant clinical experience and a strong interest in GI or clinical experience
