Job Description
The Plumbing Manager is responsible for planning, organizing and supervising all plumbing projects and activities within the organization. This role involves managing a team of plumbers and ensuring that all assigned jobs are completed efficiently, safely and in compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
Essential Functions
Plan and schedule all plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance.
Allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to ensure deadlines are met.
Monitor project progress, quality, and budget adherence.
Recruit, train, and supervise a team of plumbers and apprentices.
Provide guidance, support, and performance feedback to team members.
Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and safety.
When necessary, communicate with clients to understand their plumbing needs and expectations.
Provide cost estimates and proposals for plumbing projects.
Address client inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and professionally.
Stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal plumbing codes and regulations.
Ensure that all plumbing work complies with relevant codes and permits are obtained as required.
Manage department to improve work quality, revenue, reduced call backs, and warranty work
Manage plumbing inventory, including tools and materials.
Optimize resource allocation to minimize waste and maximize efficiency
Prepare and manage budgets for plumbing projects.
Monitor project costs and expenditures to ensure profitability.
Promote and enforce safety protocols and best practices.
Conduct regular quality checks on completed plumbing work to maintain high standards.
Maintain accurate records of plumbing jobs, including plans, permits, and invoices.
Generate reports on project status, budget performance, and team productivity.
Create and maintain the on-call and dispatch schedule for the department
Conduct regular department meetings to convey expectations, resolve challenges and to motivate department personnel.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree is a plus)
Relevant plumbing certification or license.
5+ years’ experience in a related position
Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and regulations.
Strong computer skills including MS Office
Budgeting and financial management experience.
Excellent communication, analytical and time management skills

M-F 7am-3pm
