A rapidly growing PE-backed distribution company in the Cincinnati market is seeking a high-potential Controller to join its leadership team.
This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious accounting/finance professional who wants visibility, mentorship, and a long-term growth path within a thriving organization. Reporting directly to the President, this individual will play a key role in helping scale the finance and accounting function as the company continues its impressive growth trajectory.
The company has achieved more than 300% growth over the past 8 years and continues to expand aggressively. Leadership is seeking someone who can grow with the business and ultimately step into a future Director of Finance position.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and accounting team processes
- Lead monthly and annual financial review and reporting activities
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Partner with leadership on operational and financial initiatives
- Help drive process improvements, scalability, and internal controls
- Manage relationships with external vendors, auditors, and third-party partners
- Support the continued buildout of the finance function as the company grows
Ideal Background
- CPA preferred
- 4–10 years of experience within public accounting and/or corporate accounting or FP&A
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Someone who is sharp, collaborative, and eager to grow into broader leadership responsibilities
- Experience in distribution, manufacturing, or inventory-based environments is a plus
