Travel X-Ray Technologist – Weekends
Location: New York
Pay: $2,200 – $2,500 per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks (option to extend)

Schedule:
Friday: 10:30 AM – 12:00 AM
Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 AM
Sunday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
36 hours preferred (40 hours may be considered)
On-call, callback, and holidays required per unit needs
2–3 call shifts per month
Must be able to report within 30 minutes when on call

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist for a weekend-focused assignment in a high-acuity setting. The ideal candidate will have recent OR experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, Level 1 trauma environment.

Responsibilities:

• Verify patient identity and review physician orders prior to imaging procedures

• Perform radiographic imaging of bones, tissues, and organs

• Explain procedures and answer patient questions

• Properly position patients, including those with limited mobility

• Operate radiologic equipment safely while minimizing radiation exposure

• Monitor patient condition and adapt care to age-specific needs

• Produce high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation

• Report malfunctioning or damaged equipment

• Utilize electronic systems to verify patient and exam details

• Maintain accurate records and ensure images are correctly uploaded to PACS

Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

• ARRT Certification (required)

• Active New York State license (or ability to obtain prior to start)

• Minimum 2 years of X-Ray Technologist experience

• Recent OR experience required

• Level 1 trauma experience preferred

• Experience using C-arm and/or O-arm within the last 8 months

• Ability to lift/move patients and stand for extended periods

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Certifications:

• BLS (required)
