Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures. + Owns complex data science initiatives to support data-driven business decision making. Design and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions that solve real business problems and drive measurable outcomes. + Partners with product, engineering and business stakeholders to translate needs into elegant, data-driven solutions and ensure delivery alignment while holding the bar of quality and impact. + Prepares, reviews, and delivers insight presentations and action recommendations. Communicates complex analytical findings and implications to business leaders. + Supports the continuous evolution and strategy of Vanguard's data science capabilities. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: + Minimum of five years of related work experience in data science or analytical roles. Experience utilizing statistical and machine learning methods required. + Advanced Python programming and experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn). Proficiency in cloud platform (such as AWS) and their AI services and tools. + Proven ability to align AI/ML solutions with business objectives and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional teams. + MS/Ph.D. degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
