Cypress Assisted Living is a warm, close-knit 44-bed community nestled in the heart of Anacortes, and we’re looking for dedicated Medication Technicians who are passionate about safe medication management and compassionate resident care.


Open Positions:

  • One Full-Time AM Medication Technician
  • One Full-Time PM Medication Technician
  • One Full-Time NOC Medication Technician

About the Role

Under the close supervision of the Wellness Director / Registered Nurse, the Medication Technician is responsible for administering medications safely and accurately while also providing supportive personal care. This role is vital in promoting resident dignity, independence, and overall well-being while supporting our aging in place philosophy.


What You’ll Do
  • Administer medications in accordance with state regulations, physician orders, and facility policies
  • Observe, document, and report medication effects, reactions, or changes promptly to nursing leadership
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene as needed
  • Monitor and record vital signs per care plans
  • Maintain accurate and timely medication administration records (MARs) and care documentation
  • Communicate clearly across shifts to ensure continuity of resident care
  • Assist with meals, including transporting residents and supporting in-room dining as needed
  • Support light housekeeping tasks such as linen changes, laundry assistance, and maintaining resident living spaces
  • Stock and maintain medication and nursing supplies
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards

  • Certification required – HCA or CNA
  • Medication delegation can be completed within 2 weeks of hire
  • Minimum 1-2 years of caregiver experience
