Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Inventory & Material Specialist for our client. This job is responsible for receiving, verifying, inventorying, and handling materials used in the manufacturing process. This role supports production operations by ensuring accurate inventory control, proper material handling, and timely packaging and shipment of finished products.
What’s a Typical Day Like?
  • Receive and inventory incoming shipments accurately.
  • Confirm incoming parts by verifying MRP part numbers match manufacturing part numbers.
  • Verify, document, and enter inventory data into the MRP system.
  • Utilize reel counters, counting scales, and related equipment to verify part quantities.
  • Identify and reject damaged materials, incorrect part numbers, or non-conforming materials according to company SOPs.
  • Package finished assembled products according to shipping requirements.
  • Apply labels to boxes and shipments as required.
  • File and maintain documentation including travelers and packing slips.
  • Maintain accuracy and organization within inventory and material handling processes.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Two years of experience in a material handling role preferred; training will be provided for qualified candidates without direct experience.
  • Basic understanding of inventory systems and material handling procedures preferred.
  • Experience using counting equipment such as reel counters and counting scales preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dependable, motivated, and trustworthy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, stretching, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to move or lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required.
  • Work performed in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment with frequent interaction with team members.
