Job Description
WHAT WE OFFER.
- When working as a dietary aide: $18.18 per hour starting pay (includes direct care worker supplement).
- When working as a dietary cook: $18.46 per hour starting pay (including direct care worker supplement).

Food production and meal service.
Preparing meals according to menu and spread sheet.
Ability to follow standardized recipes and modify if need be.
Meeting meal schedules.
Serving quality foods in accurate quantities.
Prepare menu items for therapeutic diets according to menu.
Reviews menus after preparing menu items.
May orientate and instruct Dietary personnel.
Assists in ordering food supplies.
Prepares meals according to planned menus.
Assists in maintain safety and sanitation in the department.
Assists in daily cleaning activities.
Serves food in appropriate portions.
Assists in checking in-coming supplies and sees that supplies are stored promptly.
Checks food supplies for upcoming meals.
Reports equipment needs and repairs to the Dietary Manager.
May be required to prepare items for special functions held at the facility.
Follows facility policies along with Dietary Department rules and regulations.
Follows meal schedules accurately.
Uses care with supplies and equipment.
Participates in in-service programs.
Obtains food and supplies as required.
Follows posted schedule and job assignments.
Follows proper dish washing procedures.
Follows cleaning requirements.
Functions in Supervisory Capacity in co-operation with the Director of Food Services, Dietary Managers, and Administrator.
Follow facility polices.
Uses care with supplies and equipment.
Participates in in-service programs.
Obtains food and supplies as required.
Assists in ordering, checking and storage of all supplies.
Follows posted schedule and job assignments.
Assists in serving meals and loading food carts.
Assists in washing dishes according to procedure.
Follows cleaning schedule.
Assists in meal set-up.
Follows standardized recipes.
Performs other duties as required by Director od Dietary Services, Dietary manages and/or Administrator.
