Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and dependable Certified Medical Assistant to support our Endocrinology team. The Medical Assistant will assist providers with patient care, clinical procedures, documentation, and administrative duties while helping ensure an exceptional patient experience. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced specialty practice managing patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments
  • Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, medication lists, and chief complaints
  • Assist providers with endocrinology-related procedures and patient care
  • Perform point-of-care testing, specimen collection, injections, EKGs, and other clinical tasks as directed
  • Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, diabetic care instructions, and follow-up appointments
  • Accurately document patient information within the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Manage prescription refills, prior authorizations, referrals, and lab/imaging orders
  • Monitor and maintain exam room cleanliness, supplies, and equipment
  • Coordinate patient scheduling and communicate with patients regarding appointments and test results
  • Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and company policies and procedures
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff to ensure quality patient care
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent certification preferred
  • Previous medical assistant experience in endocrinology, internal medicine, or specialty practice preferred
  • Knowledge of diabetic care, hormone disorders, thyroid conditions, and endocrine-related treatments preferred
  • Strong computer skills and experience with EMR systems
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in a healthcare environment
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Manual dexterity required for clinical procedures and computer use
Work Environment
  • Fast-paced specialty medical office environment
  • Frequent interaction with patients, providers, and healthcare staff
