Security Officer Access Control

As a Security Officer Access Control in Spirit Lake, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and support daily operations through visible presence, strong communication, and customer service. You will help to reduce security-related concerns while working with a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, in a caring culture that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document arrivals, departures, and deliveries in accordance with location procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
• Support security-related operations at an industrial location by observing vehicle traffic, screening visitors and/or contractors, and reporting maintenance, access, or policy-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
