Machine Tech

Auburn Hills, Mi

Pay rate: $27 - 33/hr, based on exp.

10% shift prem.

1st shift: 6/7am to 4/5pm
2nd shift hours: 3pm - 11:30pm
Hours based on workload, OT hours available

Job Overview:

Machine Service Tech to troubleshoot processing specifically related to plastic injection machine systems (direct flow manifolds, unitized manifolds) and related components (bushings, valve gate systems, extension machine nozzles, screen pack filters, temperature controllers, quick mold change systems and sequence control systems) at customer sites.

TRAINING offered!!!

Best matches are candidates with both processing, mold setting and some maintenance experience.

Skills:

Seeking manufacturing background experience to assemble/ disassemble equipment

Will be required to assess components, determine needed repairs, test equipment, make adjustments and check with customer for acceptance.

Will be responsible for troubleshooting hot runner systems and processing molding issues

Required:

Must have 2-3 years experience in manufacturing equipment

Must be able to read mics and calipers

Must be mechanically inclined

Must have some experience troubleshooting OR assembling/ disassembling equipment

A plus, to know how to read blueprints

A plus to have knowledge in plastic processing, troubleshooting/replacing injector pins

Required:

Must have a valid driver's license to travel to customer sites.

Travel is just local during the day using company service van.

Traveling will be after few years, when proficiency w/ the equipment is reached.

Other details:

Will be on-call one weekend per month (rotates with others in the department).

2nd shift hours: 3pm - 11:30pm, based on workload, OT hours available

Permanent job - 90 day contract to direct hire
