Job Description
Robert Half Legal is partnering with a well-established and highly regarded civil litigation firm in Seattle that is seeking an Associate to join its growing team. Position Overview
The firm is looking for a talented attorney with solid litigation experience and exceptional advocacy skills. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly analytical, and is eager to take on increasing levels of responsibility while working collaboratively within a team-driven culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support a diverse civil litigation caseload from inception through resolution
- Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and discovery
- Handle depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation
- Provide strategic legal counsel to clients in both pre-litigation and active dispute contexts
- Collaborate closely with partners, paralegals, and support staff to deliver high-quality client service
Qualifications
- 1+ years of litigation experience
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active admission to the Washington State Bar (Oregon State Bar admission is a plus)
- Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to manage multiple matters independently
Preferred Experience
- Background in civil defense litigation
- Experience with insurance-related matters and extra-contractual claims preferred
- Familiarity with all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and trial
- Prior judicial clerkship or court experience is a plus

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Washington
• At least 1 year of litigation experience, with the ability to manage files with increasing independence.
• Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills demonstrated through effective advocacy and legal drafting.
• Background in civil defense litigation, including experience with discovery, depositions, arbitration, and trial-related work.
