Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Accounts Payable review including invoice review, timely invoice processing, and check mailing.
- Works closely with our tracking company to maintain vendor compliance and insurance
- 1099 processing
- Oversees petty cash and reimbursements
- Provides support and training to on-site managers, as needed
- Reviews resident refunds before checks are sent
- Manages various accounting tasks such as replacement reserves, property taxes, and unclaimed property
- Contributes to company culture through collaboration and support
Desired Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Experience working with Yardi and/or MRI preferred
- Experience working in multi-family property management preferred
Desired Competencies:
- Excellent administrative skills including time management, prioritization of tasks, organization, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Word and other Microsoft products.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated relationship-building skills with associates at all levels.
- Ability to work independently while working effectively as a part of a broader team.
- Ability to use critical thinking to discern priorities personally and for the department.
- Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English using correct grammar and punctuation.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to travel/commute locally for meetings, events, etc.
- Must be able to lift to 15 pounds, on occasion.
- Ability to effectively communicate effectively in person, via phone, and through virtual platforms.
- Hybrid work environment; In-person work required at Thrive's Home Office unless otherwise noted.
