Summary
We are seeking a Recovery Advocate to join our team at New Dawn Treatment Center. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our medical staff and enhancing the client experience through compassionate care and efficient medical assistance.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with client examinations and procedures.
- Take and record vital signs and medical histories accurately.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the medical office environment.
- Provide exceptional client service, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate client records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Support the medical team in delivering high-quality care to clients.
- Under supervision of medical staff, monitors, logs, and report detoxification symptoms and/ or significant changes to Director of Nursing, Staff Nurse, or on call MD.
- Medication pass (controlled and non-controlled)/ observation of self-administration. Physical documentation of controlled medications
- Reporting medication errors.
- Drive vehicles to pick up medications, transport clients, etc.
Requirements
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is preferred.
- Experience in a hospital or urgent care setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and internal medicine principles.
- Ability to take vital signs accurately and perform basic medical procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service.
