The Controller at a Live Music Event Venue is responsible for overseeing the financial operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting to support the venue's dynamic entertainment environment. This role requires managing budgets, financial controls, and compliance while collaborating with various departments to support successful live events and business growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and reports
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes tailored to live event cycles
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
- Collaborate with event management and operations teams on financial planning
- Monitor cash flow and working capital to support venue operations
- Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors
- Implement financial strategies to optimize profitability of live events
