MRI Technologist – GE MRI | Silver Cross Hospital | New Lenox, IL

Seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team. The ideal candidate will have recent GE MRI experience and a strong commitment to patient care, safety, and imaging excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialized MRI procedures for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patients of all ages

• Prepare patients for exams and explain imaging procedures clearly and professionally

• Verify physician orders and communicate with radiologists as needed

• Follow all MRI safety standards, department protocols, and ARRT guidelines

• Administer contrast media according to hospital policy

• Evaluate MRI images for technical quality and accuracy

• Assist radiologists during MRI procedures when requested

• Operate and maintain MRI equipment, including calibration, warm-up, and safety checks

• Report equipment malfunctions and maintain quality control standards

• Utilize hospital computer systems and complete documentation accurately

• Deliver excellent customer service through respectful and professional communication

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of recent GE MRI experience required

• ARRT Certification required (AMRIT not accepted)

• BLS Certification required

• Strong knowledge of MRI safety procedures and imaging protocols

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
