Opportunity:
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Job Details:
- 6-month contract providing full-time locum tenens CRNA coverage
- 40 hours of scheduled work per week with shifts varying between 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour increments
- Coverage also includes one 24-hour shift and one 16-hour shift per week
- Call is required: 1 weekend call shift per month and 2 weeknight call shifts per month
- Schedule is provided 6 weeks at a time; no block scheduling available
- Supervision-based anesthesia model with a maximum 4:1 ratio
- Patient population includes adolescents, children, adults, and geriatric patients; 90%+ of patients are over the age of 12
- Operating rooms include 17 main OR suites, 7 day surgery center suites, plus specialty areas including cath labs, radiology, and endoscopy
- Skills required include: gynecology, general surgery, orthopedics, spine, craniotomy, plastics, pulmonary, healthy pediatrics, ophthalmology, GI, structural hearts, electrophysiology, endoscopy, interventional radiology, and MRI
- Must be comfortable with Level II Trauma cases
- CRNAs will perform spinal blocks but will not perform their own regional anesthesia or nerve blocks; no epidurals or central lines
- Arterial lines may be performed on an occasional basis but are not required
- No burns, transplants, open heart, sick pediatrics, or OB cases
- EMR system: EPIC
- Hospital bed size: 378 beds
- Board certification required; minimum 1 year of experience required
- DEA and CSR required
- Scrubs are provided by the department
- No local candidates will be considered
