Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience in cardiac catheterization, EP, IR, and neuro intervention for a 13-week travel assignment at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma acute care hospital in Alaska.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting within a 407-bed Magnet facility, Level II Trauma Center, and USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska
- Cath Lab unit performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath, STEMI, IABP, Impella, Tandem Heart, and structural heart procedures (PFO, TAVR, Mitral Clip)
- Interventional Radiology procedures include lines, drains, embolizations, upper/lower extremity interventions, fistulas, visceral angio/intervention, and stroke thrombectomy
- Additional scope includes neurointervention and CRM device implants
- May float to IR and EP departments within clinical scope to meet facility needs
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state — refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Some Saturdays are required as part of the regular 4-shift weekly schedule, not as additional shifts
- On-call required 1 shift per week and every 4th weekend
- Charting via Epic (required)
- Preferred experience includes CTO, peripherals, venous access, rhythm interpretation, Philips X-Ray System, atherectomy and thrombectomy devices, temporary LVAD support, McKesson for Cath Lab, and MacLab/Cardio Lab for EP
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience
- Required experience in EP, IR, vascular, monitoring, and neuro intervention
- Active BLS, ACLS, and either ARRT (R) or RCIS certification required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
- Active professional license required if applicable
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Parking is free
- Time off requests are approved on an individual basis upon offer; only 1 RTO request is permitted per 13-week assignment
