Porter and ware washing team members are committed to making sure all small wares and service wares are clean, sanitized, and ready for service throughout the day. Porter team members work together as a team and with colleagues to prepare the food & beverage operations for service with the highest quality while adhering to specific company sanitation and safety standards. Porter team members:

• Are passionate about hospitality, guest experience, and great food & drink
• Are responsible for daily cleaning, sanitation, and stocking of service and kitchen equipment
• Operate according to safety and sanitation standards
• Have flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, holidays, & afternoons/evenings

Compensation & Benefits:

• $24 - $25/ Hr

Summary of Porter’s Primary Responsibilities

• Clean, Sanitize and wash kitchen utensils, silverware, pots, pans, glassware, and dishes
• Oversee the dishwashing station, including the set up of three-compartment sinks and dishwashers with correct and appropriate amounts of soap and sanitizer
• Confirm that the equipment is clean, sanitized and operational for service, communicating with supervisors about any issues that may prevent equipment from being clean, sanitized, and operational for service
• Inventory small wares and take care of items to prevent breakage
• Prepare work spaces for opening, and follow closing procedures at the end of the day to set workspaces up for success for the following day
• Perform some janitorial and maintenance tasks when needed
• Perform daily cleaning needs in back of house and front of house spaces like mopping floors, putting up wet floor signs, and helping clean & sanitize tables
• Move trash from trash receptacles to designated area
• Offer to support colleagues and clients with professionalism and positivity
• Work collaboratively with colleagues in ware washing, culinary, and service teams
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and hospitality skills
• Able to grasp and reach overhead
• Must be able to lift, move, and carry 50+lbs
• Must be able to work 8+ hours a day on feet
• Servsafe allergen certified and and servsafe food handler (or willing to obtain prior to starting)
