Machine Operator

We are seeking a Machine Operators to join our team! We are looking for experienced machine operators for injection & blow mold molding machines as well as packaging lines.

Responsibilities:

• Log and record readings for equipment and procedures
• Ensure the equipment is always in good and safe condition and maintained clean .
• Abides by all Amcor’s Safety and Quality policies and procedures including performing scheduled quality checks on products.
• Report any mechanical or quality issues to the Lead or Supervisor.
• Inspects product for defects. Performs quality assurance tests using appropriate measuring devices and basic math skills, and enters resultant data into the computer system
• Knows and practices safe and proper start-up and shutdown procedures for each machine.
• Makes necessary machine adjustments involving hand movements and simple hand tools to maintain consistent machine operation and product quality in terms of customer specifications.
• Complete all required paperwork both paper and electronic.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Prior Manufacturing experience preferred 
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Physical Requirements: This is a medium physical demand job

• Lift / push / pull up to 100 pounds using a hydraulic hand jack (this is the equivalent of a static push / pull of approximately 60 pounds).
• Employees are required to stand / walk for working hours of shifts
• Employees are required to bend; turn / twist; kneel; squat; crawl; climb; reach out and up; turn wrist; grasp; pinch; and have finger manipulations.
• Required Safety Equipment: Employees are required to continuously wear hearing, hand, head, and eye protection, as well as protective clothing including protected toe shoes when outside of office areas.
