Job Summary:
Dedicated Clinical Pharmacist responsible for providing safe, effective, and patient-centered pharmaceutical care in a retail pharmacy setting. This role includes medication dispensing, patient counseling, medication therapy management, collaboration with healthcare providers, and supporting daily pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations and quality standards.
Duties
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Counsel patients on prescription and over-the-counter medications, usage, side effects, and drug interactions
- Conduct medication therapy management (MTM) and review medication regimens for safety and effectiveness
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
- Support daily pharmacy operations including inventory management and workflow oversight
- Promote medication adherence and patient wellness through education and community outreach
- Stay current with pharmacy practices, clinical guidelines, and pharmacotherapy updates
Requirements
- Pharm.D. degree required
- Active Michigan Pharmacist license required
- Minimum 2 years of experience with pharmaceutical knowledge and drug interactions
- Retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong understanding of pharmacology, medication management, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent communication and patient counseling skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with pharmacy systems and technology preferred
