Lead CNC Machinist-Night Shift

The Lead CNC Machinist for the Night Shift will oversee a large team of 11 or more machinists operating lathes, mills, multi-axis, and combination CNC machines. This role demands independent decision-making to ensure smooth night production runs, including occasional overtime or weekend work. The ideal candidate will leverage extensive CNC expertise to manage tool setup, maintenance, and troubleshoot issues while monitoring production for quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a large night shift team of 11+ CNC machinists
• Set up tools and program CNC machines including lathes, mills, multi-axis, and combination types
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues to minimize downtime
• Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards and efficiency targets are met
• Exercise independent decision-making to resolve operational challenges during the night shift
• Coordinate occasional overtime and weekend work as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in CNC machining
