Material Handler

Barberton Mancan is seeking an experienced Material Handler for a full time, long term opportunity with a growing, family oriented Barberton business.

6a-2:30p Monday- Friday

$18/hr- more qualified candidates can make up to $23/hr.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the movement of materials within our factory, ensuring timely delivery of supplies to the production floor using forklifts and pallet jacks. The Material Handler will play a crucial role in maintaining efficiency and productivity in our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and prioritize the movement of materials to and from the production floor.
Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to transport materials and products.
Work on a team of material handlers, providing guidance and support as needed.
Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular counts and reconciliations.
Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for quality and compliance with company standards.
Collaborate with production supervisors to anticipate material needs and ensure uninterrupted workflow.
Implement and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
Train new material handlers on equipment operation and safety procedures.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance tasks.
Communicate effectively with team members and management to address concerns and facilitate smooth operations.
