Medical Assistants and Medical Administrative Assistants

Location: Smithtown, Stonybrook, Lake Grove, Commack, other locations available

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay Range: $20.28 – $25.34/hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Escort patients to exam rooms and document vitals, medications, and chief complaints in the EMR
• Perform routine screenings: height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature
• Assist providers during exams and procedures; prepare exam rooms and equipment
• Collect and process lab specimens; perform routine laboratory tests as needed
• Enter proposed orders into EMR for provider approval
• Retrieve previous test results and medical records from outside facilities
• Educate patients on treatments, medications, and provider instructions
• Clean and sterilize instruments; dispose of supplies in compliance with regulations
• Maintain inventory and cleanliness of exam rooms; order supplies as needed
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient messages
• Follow protocols for patient flow and visit completion
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA guidelines

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
