SUMMARY

This role supports procurement operations for large, complex projects within a fast-paced, execution-driven environment. The position is responsible for ensuring materials and services are strategically sourced, cost-effective, and delivered in alignment with project timelines. The individual will work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to manage the full procurement lifecycle, from planning and sourcing strategy through delivery and issue resolution.

This is an opportunity to move beyond transactional purchasing into a more integrated role that combines operational execution, supplier engagement, and project-based procurement ownership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, purchasing, order management, and delivery coordination for materials and services
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies, determining the most effective approach (direct sourcing vs. competitive bidding) based on project requirements, timelines, and cost objectives
  • Lead RFQ/RFP processes, evaluate supplier proposals, and support contract negotiations within established budget and authority limits
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (project teams, operations, and technical functions) to align procurement plans with business needs and project schedules
  • Manage supplier relationships, serving as a primary point of contact to monitor performance, resolve issues, and ensure continuity of supply
  • Monitor and control costs, leveraging market awareness, pricing analysis, and negotiation to support financial objectives
  • Track and maintain procurement data, ensuring accuracy of purchase orders, delivery status, pricing, and supplier records within internal systems
  • Proactively manage supply risks, including lead times, material shortages, and delivery delays, and implement mitigation strategies
  • Resolve quality and performance issues, partnering with suppliers and internal teams to investigate discrepancies and drive corrective actions
  • Stay informed on market conditions and supply trends, including pricing shifts, new materials, and changes in supplier capabilities
  • Support logistics and expediting efforts, ensuring materials are delivered on time to meet operational or project milestones
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing procurement processes, supplier performance, and operational efficiency

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain within a project-based, industrial, manufacturing, or construction-related environment
  • Familiarity with sourcing processes, including RFQs, RFPs, and supplier evaluation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Experience working with suppliers on pricing, delivery, and issue resolution
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret pricing, market conditions, and procurement data
  • Proficiency in ERP or procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with technical materials, engineered components, or industrial supply chains is preferred
  • Exposure to project-based procurement or construction environments is a plus
