\n\nJob Description\n

The Registered Nurse in the Maternal Child Health department is responsible for providing direct patient care to a designated group of patients. This role requires collaboration with unit leadership and adherence to the nursing practice standards established by governing bodies relevant to Maternal Child Health.

\n\nResponsibilities\n

\n
• Conduct patient assessments focusing on physical, psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs.
\n
• Develop care plans utilizing a person-centered approach and involve patients and families in care goals.
\n
• Demonstrate critical thinking by prioritizing both planned and unplanned care needs and addressing potential issues proactively.
\n
• Implement technical skills necessary for patient care and act as a resource to peers.
\n
• Coordinate and link patients and families with multidisciplinary team members as required.
\n

\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n

\n
• Labor and Delivery experience required; Postpartum experience preferred.
\n
• Current RN license.
\n
• Compliance with health history requirements, including MMR, Varicella, and Tdap.
\n
• Successful completion of background checks and drug screening as per facility requirements.
\n
