Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)Position Summary

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides speech therapy services in accordance with established standards of care and organizational policies. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, providing therapy services, and collaborating with the care team to support patient recovery and independence.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Conduct speech-language evaluations and assess patient needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide speech therapy using appropriate therapeutic techniques and equipment.
  • Recommend communication devices and adaptive aids as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care.
  • Participate in case conferences, trainings, and team meetings.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and home programs.
  • Identify needs for additional services and make referrals when appropriate.
  • Supervise home health aides related to the speech therapy plan of care, when applicable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current California SLP license.
  • Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience preferred.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Valid drivers license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
