Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.

Responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining the knowledge and abilities essential to the performance of stated behaviors. Carries out legal responsibilities within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act. Accountable to the NURSE SVC SUPV 2 for overall work performance.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Two years of BMT experience
One year recent clinical RN experience in Adult Inpatient Oncology, or Adult Outpatient Infusion Clinic
Active State of California Registered Nurse licensure
Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Active American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Card

Preferred Qualifications:

Telemetry monitoring experience
Registered nurse experience in an acute care Hematology/Oncology/BMT unit
Previous clinical RN experience in an academic medical center
BSN

License/Certification:

Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Active American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
