Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring LDRP float pool coverage, AWHONN certification, and a MA RN license.
Details
- Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit in Worcester, MA
- True LDRP position — assignment includes floating between Labor & Delivery (L&D) and Postpartum (PP) as part of a maternity float pool
- Day shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM (3x12-hour shifts per week, 36 hours/week)
- Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- Intermediate level or above AWHONN fetal monitoring certification required
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required; 3 years strongly preferred (2 years considered with travel experience)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must be willing and able to float between L&D and PP
- Two references required for consideration, one of which must be from a Nurse Manager or higher
- Clean nursing license with no prior disciplinary actions required
- Must reside more than 200 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates; local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate
Additional Information
- Position functions within a maternity float pool, with regular assignments on both L&D and PP units
- Orientation includes two pass/fail exams: a medication exam and a telemetry/EKG exam — each allows only one attempt; failure results in immediate contract cancellation
- Study materials will be provided prior to and during the compliance/onboarding process
- RTO (requested time off) is limited to 5 days or fewer for the duration of the contract
- Nurses with prior disciplinary actions on their nursing license will not be considered
