Location: Apple Valley, California
Schedule: Monday through Friday, day shift (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM), 5x8-hour shifts. Hybrid position serving both inpatient acute care and outpatient populations, typically 1-3 adult outpatient visits per day with remainder in acute hospital setting. Approximately 8 visits per day. No call required. No weekend coverage.
Highlights:
- Reduced orientation period of 24 hours versus standard 40 hours
- Work in a 212-bed acute care hospital with modern Epic charting system
- Blended caseload including acute care inpatients and adult outpatient services
- Must be able to independently perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies
- Free parking provided
- 91-day assignment with guaranteed hours (facility may call off once per two-week pay period)
Requirements:
- Current California Speech Language Pathology license (must be in hand prior to start)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) certification
- Minimum 3 years of experience; must be able to work independently
- Experience with acute care, adult outpatient, CVA, and dysphagia populations
- Epic charting experience preferred
- LA fire card obtained within the last 30 days required
- Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
