Caregiver or CNA for 11hrs/week

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a group home setting, particularly with individuals on the autism spectrum. This role requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalized care and support.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
• Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring any changes are communicated promptly.
• Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals, adapting as necessary to meet client needs.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction.
• Lift and transfer clients safely as required, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while providing care.
• Assist with patient monitoring to ensure well-being and address any concerns immediately.

Experience

• Previous experience in a caregiver role or similar position is preferred, especially in a group home environment.
• Familiarity with working with individuals with autism is highly desirable.
• Certification in CPR is beneficial; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held is acceptable.
• Knowledge of basic health monitoring techniques, including taking vital signs and understanding care plans.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
