Medical Assistant- Urgent Care and Primary Care

We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant- Urgent Care And Primary Care to join our team! Each week, you would work four daytime shifts of ten hours each. You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a healthcare team. We are ideally looking for someone who wants to gain experience in our medical setting to move towards a higher degree, like PA or medical school.

Responsibilities:

• Perform and assist with medical procedures as necessary
• Blood draws and injections
• Assist with patients' medications and treatments
• Assess patient health through interviews and physical examinations
• Communicate information to patients regarding diagnosis and treatment goals
• Maintain patient medical records
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
• Communicate with patients and medical offices in person and over the phone

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a medical assistant, patient care tech, or similar path
• Advanced knowledge of treatment and drug interactions
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong ability to communicate effectively
• Organizational skills
