Job DescriptionCompany Description
We are hiring a skilled Commercial Maintenance Technician to support our emergency service facility maintenance operations across New York State. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with experience in multiple trades who can respond to service calls, troubleshoot issues, and complete repairs independently.
Local/regional work with occasional overnight stays (hotel and meals fully covered).
Responsibilities:
- Perform commercial maintenance and repair work including:
- Plumbing repairs and drain cleaning
- Light electrical work (outlets, fixtures, troubleshooting)
- Carpentry and general building repairs
- Parking lot and exterior maintenance
- Respond to emergency service calls
- Diagnose issues and complete repairs efficiently
- Communicate with dispatch and clients professionally
- Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle
- Complete work orders and service documentation
Travel Requirements:
- Travel to customer locations throughout New York State
- Occasional overnight stays (paid hotel + meals)
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in commercial maintenance or skilled trades
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs
- Ability to work independently and solve problems on-site
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Comfortable with travel and emergency service work
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Trade certifications (plumbing, electrical, HVAC)
- Experience in commercial facilities maintenance
