Description

American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC-SLP certification and 3+ years of experience for an acute care hospital SLP position requiring the ability to independently perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies.

Details

  • Acute care hospital setting with 212 staffed beds
  • Hybrid inpatient and outpatient role, typically 1–3 adult outpatient cases per day with the remainder in acute hospital
  • Adult patient population
  • Must be able to independently perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS)
  • Epic EMR — experience required
  • Monday through Friday, day shift (5x8 hours), 8:00am–4:30pm
  • No call or weekend coverage required
  • Travelers may be required to float between facilities within the state

Requirements

  • Active CCC-SLP certification required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Valid and active state SLP license required — pending licenses are not accepted
  • Minimum 3 years of SLP experience required — must be able to practice independently
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Ability to independently perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies
  • At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting required for consideration
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

  • 13-week contract
  • First-time travelers will be considered for this position
  • Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate — candidates within 50 miles should inquire about local rate eligibility
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission — RTO requests made after submission or offer may be denied
  • Free parking on-site
