Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Urology Clinic position requiring strong catheterization skills and Epic proficiency in an outpatient setting.
Details
- Outpatient Urology Clinic setting
- Patient population includes urological diagnoses such as prostate, bladder, kidney, testicular, and penile cancers, as well as BPH, erectile dysfunction, renal calculus, voiding dysfunction, overactive bladder, urinary retention, male UTI, circumcision, and undescended testicles
- Frequent catheterization of both male and female patients, including suprapubic catheter changes, is a core daily responsibility
- Charting performed in Epic (experience required)
- Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- No weekend requirements
- No on-call requirements
- Floating between all facilities within the state may be required
Requirements
- Active Oregon RN license required and must be in hand upon start (pending state license accepted during submission process)
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Highly proficient catheterization skills, including both male and female and suprapubic catheter changes
- Strong skills checklist ratings across Urology competencies
- Epic EMR experience required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- ONC certification is preferred but not required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Refusal to float between facilities within the state may result in assignment termination
- RTO requests should be submitted upfront, as post-offer requests may be denied
