Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for an acute care hospital setting in Urbana, IL, with new graduates considered and Epic EMR experience required.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting
- Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM day shift schedule
- Weekend and holiday shifts on a PRN basis as needed
- 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day
- No floating requirements
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required
- Current Illinois PT license required (if applicable)
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- New graduates will be considered
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients of all ages, modifying plans of care based on patient response and available evidence
- Performs patient examinations using reliable and valid methods relevant to chief complaint, screening results, and history
- Designs individualized plans of care integrating goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge planning
- Educates patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare providers using relevant teaching methods
- Produces clinical documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards
- Collaborates with patients, families, and the broader medical team to communicate patient status, activity recommendations, and discharge disposition
- Provides supervision to PTAs and rehabilitation technicians in accordance with regulatory guidelines
- Serves as a clinical resource for staff and students
- Candidates who have been on assignment with Carle Health for 1 continuous year must take a 6-month break before returning to any Carle Health location
- RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
- Candidates must interview with the facility leader as part of the selection process
