CNC Machinist

CNC - Machinist - DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY

• Shift is Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm.
• Must have desire to grow and learn and eventually lead/supervise.
• Set up and operate CNC milling machines and related equipment to machine plastic components and thermoforming molds according to work orders, blueprints, and specifications.
• Participate in the design and machining of molds and tooling for plastic thermoforming using CAD/CAM software (experience with Mastercam preferred).
• Perform basic edits/programming to CNC programs under supervision.
• Inspect parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Assist with secondary operations such as trimming, deburring, and light assembly as needed.
• Communicate clearly with the Lead Machinist and Production Manager to ensure production goals and quality standards are met.
• 3+ years of experience as a CNC machinist or in a similar machining role (plastics and mold-making experience preferred).
• Familiarity with the design and machining of molds for plastic thermoforming is a strong plus but not necessary (training will take place).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and shop documentation.
• Basic knowledge of G-code and CNC machine operation; experience with Mastercam or other CAD/CAM software is a plus.
• Comfortable working with hand tools and measurement instruments.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from senior team members.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
