Rough Carpenter

Rough Carpenter 
The Carpenter will use carpentry skills to build, erect, install, and repair various structures, other equipment, and fixtures throughout the facility and in production. 

• Pay: $21-23/hour, based on experience 

Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities:

• Reading and interpreting blueprints 

• Assisting supervisors with structural design, planning, layout, and installation 

• Conducting repair work and installation of doors, windows, drywall, cabinets, stairs, and other fixtures as required 

• Joining drywall panels using tape and plaster 

• Repairing cracks and any other damage to the drywall panels 

Carpenter-Framer Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or related field preferred.

• Experience: Three years’ carpentry experience in the building trades field is required, previous experience working with diverse populations preferred.

• Other Requirements: Strong stakeholder service skills. Exceptional dedication to dependability and punctuality. Strong work ethic. Ability to engage a team toward a common mission. Additional abilities required:

• Ability to understand directions and read blueprints.

• Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately.

• Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade.

• Ability to read, write and use micrometers, calipers, tape measures and other related measurement equipment required.

• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Thorough understanding of carpentry principles and methods. 

• Works well as part of a team.
