Role Overview
Perform quality assurance reviews of abstracted cancer registry casesin accordance withMSK policies and oncology data standards
Develop, implement, andmaintainquality control methods to ensure complete,accurate, andtimelydata collection
Conduct database edits and audits to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with reporting standards
Manage and execute required data submissions to state and national regulatory agencies
Analyze cancer registry data toidentifytrends, issues, and opportunities for process improvement
Train and educate new and existing registry staff on oncology data standards, workflows, and daily operations
Provide subject matterexpertisein oncology data abstraction, coding, and reporting
Support registry operations byassistingwith workflow oversight, staffselection, and performance feedback
Serve as backup to the Cancer Registry Manager andassistwith special projects and departmental initiatives
Key Qualifications
Certified Oncology Data Specialist (ODS-C) credential,required
Associate's degree or certified vocational training in Cancer Registry Management
Seven to ten years of tumor registry experience in an oncology or healthcare setting
Demonstrated experience with state and national cancer reporting requirements and regulatory submissions
Proficiencywith tumor registry software, preferablyMetriq, and reporting or query tools
Proficiencywith office productivityapplications such asMS Word, Excel
Core Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail and data quality
Ability to train, mentor, and guide staff while promoting consistent standards and best practices
Effective verbal and written communication skills across clinical, technical, and regulatory partners
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a regulated environment
High levelof professionalism, sound judgment, and collaborative leadership skills

Schedule: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST, Monday - Friday
Reporting To: Manager II, Cancer Registry
Location: Hybrid; 1 time a month in NYC

Pay Range: $77,100.00 - $119,400.00
