Associate Attorney - Family Law

A growing and well-established law firm in the St. Cloud area that is looking to add a Family Law Attorney to its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 1–5+ years of litigation experience who is either already practicing family law or interested in transitioning into the practice area long term.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in family law matters including divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, spousal maintenance, and related proceedings
• Manage cases from intake through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence
• Conduct hearings, negotiations, mediations, and court appearances
• Maintain strong client communication and case management
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to provide exceptional client service

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in Minnesota
• 1–5+ years of experience as a practicing attorney in civil litigation
• Family law experience highly preferred
• Candidates without family law experience must demonstrate a strong long-term interest in practicing family law
• Strong writing, communication, and courtroom skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment
