Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a significant impact by supporting students as a specialized educator for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) learners. This contract opportunity offers a rewarding role working one-on-one with students who rely on your expertise. Located onsite near Red Mountain, CA, you’ll contribute to a dedicated team over the 2026-2027 academic year.

Key Qualifications:

  • Teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education required
  • Experience with individualized lesson planning and delivery for DHH students
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and support skills
  • Familiarity with accommodations and assistive technology for DHH learners
  • Ability to adapt instruction to meet varied learning needs
  • Passion for helping students thrive in an inclusive educational environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction to a 1:1 DHH caseload onsite, ensuring customized support
  • Collaborate with administrators, general educators, and families to address unique student needs
  • Develop and implement effective lesson strategies aligned with IEP goals
  • Monitor progress and adjust teaching techniques to maximize student engagement and learning
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in relevant meetings as needed

This contract offers a focused schedule of 15 hours per week, extending from August 6, 2026, through May 27, 2027. Your role will be exclusively onsite, fostering strong relationships with both students and school staff in a welcoming learning community.
