Locums Emergency Medicine Physician in Lake Charles, Louisiana - Flexible Scheduling, No Call
This PRN emergency medicine opportunity offers up to five shifts per month with a focus on night and swing coverage. Work in the region's only Level 3 trauma center while maintaining flexibility around your existing schedule.
Practice & Cases
- Emergency department caring for patients of all ages
- Level 3 trauma center with dedicated behavioral health support
- Full scope emergency procedures including airways, central lines, and chest tubes
- Approximately 140 patient visits per 24-hour period
Schedule
- PRN coverage with flexible monthly scheduling
- Up to 5 shifts per month available
- 12-hour weekday shifts and 10-hour weekend shifts
- Night and swing shifts are the primary coverage need
Requirements
- Must be an MD or DO
- ABEM Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
- Louisiana license or active Interstate Medical Licensure Compact Letter of Qualification required
- ACLS, BLS, and DEA required

- Consecutive shifts available for easier travel planning
