Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Technician in Channahon, IL! We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual who is passionate about working with diesel engines and ensuring they operate at peak performance. Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic tools.
  • Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance service delivery.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in diesel technology.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and recommendations.
  • Be able to order parts for the shop
  • Work well with the Shop Service Manager on leadership tasks
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical tractor- and trailer-related issues using standard testing procedures and computer diagnostic equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on our fleet of trucks & trailers
  • Perform DOT inspection per FMCSA guidelines
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in diesel mechanics preferred.
  • At least 3+ years of experience
  • Proven experience as a Diesel Technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine components and systems.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
